If you want to send a text message to a cell phone, but do not know the wireless provider, just send an email to teleflip.com, and it will relay the message where it should go. For example, if the number of the cell phone is 1002003000, you would send the message to:
1002003000@teleflip.com
P. S. This currently only works for Canada, US, Caribbean, Hawaii, and Guam.

If your Mozilla-based browser on Windows does not want to run Java applets, you might have tried finding the solution in forums such as this one:
Java Forums - java plugin 1.5 not working with firefox or netscape
There are many discussions and opinions there, but the simple solution is:
0. Close the browser
1. Go to C:/Program Files/Java/jreXYZ/bin (or wherever you installed the last version of JRE)
2. Copy all the DLL files that start with uppercase NP
3. Go to C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/plugins (or wherever your browser is installed)
4. Paste the DLL files and let them overwrite the old ones.
